Help needed, missing at 3000rpm

I have recently bought myself a 1997 b4,16,000miles, really pleased with the bike but what I thought was a flat spot has now developed into a misfire/loss of power at 3000 to 3500 rpm.
The bike has had a new pipe,carbs balanced,advancer,air filter and plugs checked when serviced.
