C to E Electrics

Ok, tech-ky time!

I need to get the speedo working in the car. It's a c lump (with CPS) and loom but an E clockset. The difference I can see is a Yellow/red wire on the E diagram that goes from the CDI to the clocks and the sensor. Has anyone played around with the clocks before..........
