Axle Nut size
Anyone know what size the axle hexagonal nut is on the front wheel?

I think it's 12mm on the left 17mm on the right on c2s , you only need one of those , i use a long 12mm bolt [have used the brake caliper bolt before now also
]
if you have the std toolkit there should be a thin box spanner that fits [spark plug spanner looking ]
undo the two left hand axle retaining allen bolts , undo the 12mm axle nut half way or so , undo the two right hand allen bolts , tap the half undone axle nut inwards , undo rest of way and remove axle

Halfrauds have a socket that will fit perfectly, Its called an "Oil drain plug tool" 17mm i think (Measure twice cut once as they say)
The spark plug key was too soft to do the job for me....

i use drain plug sockets from halfords as they do them in 12, 14 and 17mm, the 17mm is used on the 9 somewhere i just cant remember what job its used for

i just bought a tool on ebay 22mm....didn't realise the c1/c2 is different as the listing stated zx9r as one of the bikes it would fit. so it's a trip to Halfords now. cheers Chance .......and all the best to all on the forum
