well, 9RC rim IS a 5.5"er.
I've got one in the basement (though I'm wondering why)

Tango, where was the deal on the bst wheels? They are normally double that so they would likely sell on again without much loss eventually ? Only worries I have is not many tyre firms down here will touch them , or me trust them ..
I don’t disagree about what tyres everyone started on , I still say the now defunct bt45 cross ply are the best tyres for commuting /wet / winter riding for cb5/ntv/er5 and plenty of others ..
its the fight in the dog not the dog in the fight!

Stick it on the zxr750, it looks the same but it's lighter.

I guess that was the plan... oh, some 8 years ago..
One of the problems with that, though, would be the 20mm axle which ain't exactly plug and play.
And while they do look similar, zxrs have the (thicker) spokes at an angle,
as opposed to thinner "straight" ones of the 9r c and onwards.
Then again, I could balance it out with a spare F front wheel, resulting in another problem - missing speedo drive.
Using anything but the original cluster would be less than street legal here, unless you wanna pay a lot of money for a lot of headache.
(having different rims is too, but waaay less obvious)

The rear brake assembly would prolly require a new custom made brake plate, as well.

I actually had bought a 6r rear rim as I later found out they looked the same as 9R C, but took a 25mm axle.
Ended up selling it as it was red and I figured I better sell it now or I won't be able to later
(as the prices went down and availability up)
and I can now easily buy a cheap rim if I needed one.

After I got the F, most of my modding ambitions kinda tanked
(even thought about a 9R B or 7R engine transplant)
