Haven't had a look at the forum for a few years. Had some medical (arm) issues that meant I was unable to ride even a pushie for a couple of years. Annoying, as my main hobbies were my C1, pushbikes, & shooting airguns. One 'doctor' even told me I might as well sell the lot. Work 'kindly' medically retired me.
But I didn't sell , got used to a m/bike (of sorts) again wobbling around on a H###a Innova 125 step thru.
This year I bought a new Motobatt for the C1, started to ride it a bit, 15 miles max. Wonderful! Bit of a culture shock after a year of 55-60 flat out. I've only managed to forget the clutch pulling away once :o - the 125 hasn't got one.
Hope to be able to do some longer runs later this, or maybe next year. The C1 had it's shims, headbearings & forks done at 29k, it's now done just over 30k. Kept it MoT'd during the layoff, & started it up often.
The only problem the Ninja has given is occasionally dumping coolant from the overflow pipe.

Well done for keeping at it. =D> =D> =D> Have the expansion tank at the lower level when cold, and see how that goes.

Please will forum members put their bike model letter, & 1 or 2 after their Profile Location. eg: Your Town & B1,2,3,4 C1,2 E1,2 F1,2
As all zx9's are all slightly different, and I get fed up having to ask which model & number, as year may not be accurate.

Yorkie - is it also possible the rad cap springs are tired - that can cause dumping of coolant can't it ?

Ta for the thoughts. I'll give it a try at the lower level on the reservoir tank. Great to see the site is still going, & offering great advice.
