Good project , 8) Welcome to the 9R :D

if your thinking of painting it then someone on here has been after a good condition red E1 tank for ages and is willing to pay handsomely for it , I should think he has a tank to exchange also ..

Cheers Steve got nearly a year and a half to do it so going to strip it right down and repowdercoat the frame and replace anything that needs replacing.
On the tank side of things I can sort some more pictures of it out and if it's what he's after we should be able to work some thing out

Aaron - I am the one looking for a good E1 tank in that colour scheme. My tank (in the same colour) had a dent in the RHS and I had a smart dent repair guy come and fill / paint it, but I'm not happy with the dent fill (slight flat spot) or the paint finish. Maybe we have the following options;

1) I buy you tank, and you buy a different colour & undented tank.
2) I give you my tank and pay you for your tank and you sort out my tanks shape before painting.
3) I buy an undented / different colour tank and exchange it with yours.

Can you post some close up pics of your tank ? As Steve said, willing to pay good money for a correct colour scheme tank such as yours, provided the condition is excellent. You'll be doing me a big favour if we can arrange something; the red tanks don't seem to pop up second hand in good undamaged condition. There are a few blue / green ones around which look undented.

Yeah I'll sort some better pictures of the tank out tonight and if you're happy with it we can work something out from there

Fun. Fun. If you're camera savvy, do a time-lapse of the parts changes. Those are always 8) .

Since you've gone with an F tail , I'm betting that there's more than a few members here who would like to nab that C/E model pillion cowl you no longer need.

I'd make an offer myself, but I'm on the other side of the pond...
