 Post subject: modify and improve zx9r

So here she is 98 c1 bought as a non runner due to standing idle for 6 years gummed up carbs thats now sorted and running sweet next is a full service and fluid change sort the duff brakes and mot it thd project is going to be
Polish the frame and swingar
Fit an upside down front end
Fit some swingarm extensions
Repaint it kwak green but in a custom design
Improve bhp

Wheels are at the polishers to see if he can save them bare alloy put away wet for 6 years is not good

Had a good clean of the rear end today before refitting the wheels which didnt come up to bad considering how bad they were

Another...1 problem ime having is centering the rear wheel ime going by the marks on the aluminium blocks but it seems to be pulling to the left something ime going to have to look at

Improve a ZX9R - add swingarm extensions?

If you're putting money into the suspension don't ruin the handling by fitting those!

It will go from stock length for the road to +4 inches as it may see some strip action

Wheels cleaned up ok as did the engine ect very pleased so far new chain and sprockets next along with titanium disc bolts and sprocket nuts

Great result...Did the new wheel bearings seat up against the spacers ok in the end ?...probs with wheel alignment

It was a little problem with the brake calliper hanger not seating properly on the swingarm due to some sort of hard debris
