So I ordered these;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FR-CNC-25mm-S ... 2749.l2649

To move the pillion footpegs down for my wife's comfort. They are no use to me because;

1) The hole in the rotatain part is too big - so it flops around when located with the PIN on the hanger.
2) There is no hole in the body of the rotating part to allow the spring loaded locating ball to be fitted - so these would just flap around and wouldn't lock into place and
3) The body of the rotating part is too narrow - so even if I could be assed to drill my own whole to accept the locating spring and ball, the ball would just fall straight out.

Have asked for a return & refund .... let's see what comes back. May be an honest mistake - sending me maybe front hangers instead of pillion ... but we'll see.

Well they look like they have a second hole for the spring / ball bearing, so possibly. Waiting to get refund from my first purchase. I have another solution to pillion comfort issues .. will post something soon.

Actually it's another bike .. will post something soon.... and I know what you mean about Tango .. but it's damn useful that folk like you, Tango, Yorkie or Steve can offer up a link, part, ebay item or just a quick answer to an urgent need. I don't seem to have time to scratch my own balls these days ... so how you all manage to find / answer so much is beyond me, but much appreciated :-)

Just a wild idea

Junk the hinge part. Cut down a set of genuine pegs to get a new hinge. Drill and tap to attach new parts.

Obviously you'd have to consider the long term strength of this assembly

Don't think that would work YPVS .. there's a shaped end to the hinge part into which a pin is inserted allowing various offset angles to be set on the adjustable pegs.... not sure I could fabricate those myself and therefore not sure I could guarantee steady peg angles.

Ahh the cheeky chinkys quality issue once again. They have cornered the market in one of the chemicals we buy at work and on the last delivery we opened a drum up to find it full of rocks. We sent a delegation over to china to complain about the shit they are sending us but they sent them packing and then doubled the price. Lovely people.
